What we believe

As a family enterprise, we are firmly convinced that it is people who make the difference. They have a decisive impact on our success, and they move things forward within the organization. We are also concerned with the ways in which employees relate to each other and how supervisors and executive management respect them and involve them in decisions. Our goal is to attract creative and committed employees, instil them with enthusiasm for our organization and work with them to develop and enhance their skills.

What we are doing already

1. We invest in the development of our employees
We offer our employees a platform for self-reliant, flexible and creative work – along with numerous opportunities to learn and involve themselves beyond the boundaries of their specific areas of responsibility. Qualification programmes are conducted as task- or project- based activities. In the process, we seek to ensure that further occupational and personal development takes place in line with the requirements of the organization as well as the individual needs of the employees in question.

2. We offer a modern, secure working environment Wherever possible, part-time work, flexible work schedules, mobile work and home offices are integral components of the everyday working environment of our employees. We are especially pleased to note the low illness and accident rate among the people who work for us.

What we are working toward

We are very proud to know that our employees are devoted with their minds and hearts to their team and the organization as a whole and that they are working constructively with management to achieve our common goals. As an employer, we are committed to the continuous development and expansion of our activities devoted to balancing work and family life, to developing individualized career paths and to establishing flexible, mobile and healthy work models. These programmes are developed and designed – in keeping with specific needs – in the individual countries.

Eckes-Granini Deutschland is also a member of the Fair Company Initiative. We assume responsibility for our employees and young trainees. We want to engender enthusiasm
in our young talents and offer them exciting tasks and projects suited to their specific
skills. We also believe that it is important for us as an employer to pursue continuous
self-assessment and self-reflection in order to ensure that we are able to offer good
training for our young employees. Our young people help us in the process – with
honest feedback and a great deal of self-initiative.

What we believe

We believe that corporate responsibility also means looking beyond our doorstep and providing help to people who are not as well off as we are. In doing so, we focus on social initiatives that relate to the heart of our fruit juice business (fruit, nutrition, health) – especially in regions in which we are active ourselves. We give special attention to projects dedicated to improving the living conditions of families in particular.

What we are doing already

We provide targeted support for social projects.Eckes-Granini has been involved in promoting social and charitable institutions and projects for decades. Financial support is funded primarily by the Eckes Family Foundations. Since the early 1970s, we have pursued our commitment in many different ways: in recognition of our local roots, on behalf of initiatives in the region around our Headquarters in Nieder-Olm and through the International Charity Project launched in 2008 and devoted to providing long-term help where our employees have recognized a need. We are supporting the projects described below in 2016.

What we are working toward

Our employees make the difference when it comes to social commitment as well. Many of them do socially beneficial work and are involved in a number of different areas. In support of that commitment, we initiate social projects of our own and also offer a framework for initiatives proposed by members of our staff. We are currently working with an external partner to develop our strategy for the social engagement in Europe.
